Swar Detector collects nothing. There is no account, no tracking, no ads, and no network requests. Your microphone audio is analysed on your device, moment to moment, and immediately discarded.
The app needs the microphone to do the one thing it does: work out the pitch of the note you are singing or playing. iOS asks your permission before this happens, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings.
Audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. Each short buffer of sound is analysed to estimate a frequency and then released; nothing is written to disk and nothing leaves the device.
None. No accounts, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting. The only thing stored on your device is your chosen Sa (root note) and whether you prefer Indian or Western note names — kept locally so the app remembers your setup.
The app makes no network requests at all. It works entirely offline.
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a future version ever sends data off your device, this policy will be updated before that version ships.
